Nick Aldis is in the ring to introduce WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens for one final confrontation before they face off at WWE Bash In Berlin 2024. The PLE is the culmination of a successful WWE tour of Europe that took in the Netherlands, Belgium, and several cities in Germany.

Cody Rhodes comments that it’s time to talk about the WWE Championship match, the guiding light of this sport, in a completely sold out arena. Kevin Owens asks Cody if he’d rather talk about what happened to his knee during this European tour, but the champion assures that his knee is in perfect condition. Rhodes changes the subject to talk about what happened last week , since many people noticed that Owens wanted to hit him with the championship; and Cody isn’t accusing him, but he has a long history of betrayals.

Kevin Owens knows Cody is referring to the video Grayson Waller submitted and reminds him that everyone he hit from behind deserved it, except for Kofi Kingston. Cody thinks Kevin might be a little upset that he hasn’t gotten the credit and gratitude he deserves for everything he’s done in his career. Owens appreciates the words, but assures him that there’s no need for Cody to betray him because he knows he’s hurt. Kevin has been hearing for the past few days that Cody is heading to the trainers’ room to get treated and he knows he’s not 100 percent. Cody again assures him that he’s fine, but Kevin noticed that he didn’t take a knee during his entrance tonight, what more proof does he need?

Owens remembers that a few days ago it was ten years since he won the Universal Title and they always say that he did it thanks to Triple H. Owens doesn’t want the same thing to happen again when he defeats Cody Rhodes with only one healthy leg. Cody Rhodes again assures Kevin Owens that his knee is fine and reminds Kevin Owens of his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38, an event in which he stole all the spotlight despite KO competing in the main event. Rhodes asks Owens if after competing for the WWE Championship they will still be friends. Kevin has no answer and throws the microphone to the mat. Owens leaves after saying something in Rhodes’ ear.
