Jennifer Lawrence Attends the Oscars Again in a Look Inspired by Old Hollywood Dior Polka – Dot Gown

Six years after last attending the ceremony, the ‘No Hard Feelings’ actress joined fellow past winners Sally Field, Jessica Lange, Charlize Theron and Michelle Yeoh to present the award for best actress.

It’s to be expected that Jennifer Lawrence would don Dior at the 2024 Oscars — but the French fashion house’s longtime ambassador stepped out in a surprise pop of polka dots at tonight’s ceremony.

For her return to the Academy Awards red carpet, the No Hard Feelings star wore a strapless black-and-white off-shoulder gown from Christian Dior Haute Couture’s Spring 2024 collection. (She last attended the Oscars in 2018.) The playful dotted print — a pattern rarely seen at Hollywood’s biggest night — was accentuated by matching wrap.

The look was accessorized with a necklace and tennis bracelet, both crafted of created diamonds, set in 18-karat white gold, from Swarovski’s Galaxy collection. Both pieces made their debut at the 2024 Oscars.

“Jennifer embodies all the qualities that inspired me when designing the collection: luminous beauty, brilliance and energy,” Giovanna Engelbert, creative director of Swarovski, told The Hollywood Reporter. “With this marking the first major red-carpet appearance for my Galaxy Collection of lab-grown diamond jewelry, it is wonderful to see how Jennifer’s natural radiance is highlighted with our exquisite Swarovski Created Diamonds.”

Lawrence went for Old Hollywood glamour with her Oscars makeup, presumably featuring Dior Beauty cosmetics. Her hair was styled long in a wavy side part, while her eyes were kept simple with a classic cat eye and fluttery lashes. The Hunger Games actress’ lips were finished with Dior’s Lip Glow Oil.

The 33-year-old Oscar winner (who won best actress in 2013 for Silver Linings Playbook) is presenting at the 96th Academy Awards. She was previously nominated for Oscars for her roles in Winter’s BoneAmerican Hustle and Joy. She presented the best actress award to Emma Stone alongside fellow past winners fellow past winners Sally Field, Jessica Lange, Charlize Theron and Michelle Yeoh.

The house of Dior has recently starred on the small screen in The New Look, which chronicles French fashion designers Christian Dior and Coco Chanel before, during and after World War II and the Nazis’ occupation of Paris.
