The old Greenwich Village apartment of Kate Moss and Johnny Depp is up for sale.

Decades before Kate Moss testified in favor of Johnny Depp during his contentious legal battle with Amber Heard, the supermodel and Pirates of the Caribbean star resided in a Greenwich Village brownstone for four magnificent years during the 1990s. Their old haven of affection, a private duplex that sits next to a four-story townhouse, is currently listed for $15.5 million along with three other apartment buildings.

112 Waverly Place is a nearly two-century-old Federal-style townhouse less than a block from Washington Square Park. Large windows, tall ceilings, wood-burning stoves, and private outdoor spaces are features found in every unit in the structure. The original features, which include exposed brick, hardwood flooring, and mahogany molding, highlight each of the 22-foot-wide rooms. Constructed in 1826, the compound underwent a redesign with a brick façade in the early 1900s.

From 1994 to 1998, Moss and Depp resided in the property’s crown treasure, a 1,800-square-foot duplex illuminated by daylight. Its distinctive architectural characteristics can be explained by the fact that the carriage house, as it has been called, was first constructed as an artist’s workshop and then used as the Little Theatre in the early 1900s. The two and a half-story area features a magnificent wood-burning fireplace, tall 17-foot beamed ceilings, and a striking skylight. The kitchen has a copper ceiling above it, and beyond that is a mezzanine level and a rooftop with views of the Empire State Building.

Over the years, the property has drawn a number of creatives drawn to its elegant Village vibe, such as actors James Spader and Fisher Stevens, painter Everett Shinn, and playwright Lorraine Hansberry—the first Black woman to have a play produced on Broadway and the author of A Raisin in the Sun.

According to 6sqft, the carriage house was last rented for $16,000 per month in 2021. In 2016, the townhouse was last sold for somewhat less than $14 million. The Corcoran Group’s Meris & Kenny Blumstein and Randy Baruh are the property’s listing agents.
