Ron Garney is the illustrator for the comic book series BRZRKR, which was written and illustrated by Keanu Reeves and Matt Kindt. The comic tracks Berzerker, an eternal warrior, as he battles his way through time. Boom! Studios released the first issue of the 12-issue limited series on March 3, 2021. Over $1.4 million USD was raised during its Kickstarter funding campaign. Netflix revealed on March 22, 2021, that it was working on a live-action movie adaptation and an anime series that will be based on the comics, with Reeves starring. Mattson Tomlin began writing the live-action feature adaption in October 2021. In July 2022, during Keanu Reeves’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, it was announced that the anime series adaptation will be produced by Production I.G and have two seasons.
