Director of Gladiator 2, Ridley Scott, teases the opening action scene of the movie and draws comparisons to Napoleon’s. Acting as a follow-up to Gladiator from 2000, Scott’s next film picks up where Spencer Treat Clark left off, with Paul Mescal as Lucius. With plenty of action, the Gladiator 2 teaser has already given fans a preview of what to expect from the highly anticipated sequel.

In a recent interview with Empire, Scott hypes the opening battle sequence in Gladiator 2, teasing its immense scale. Though he doesn’t reveal any specifics about the sequence in question, he does claim that it’s “probably” grander than any of the epic battles featured in 2023’s Napoleon.
