Devin Booker’s closest friend Drake Bets $60,000 on a Team Without Kevin Durant Suns

Even though the Phoenix Suns didn’t produce the desired impact this season, they have surely put up a great show until now. Injuries constantly plagued the team, restricting their Big 3 from settling down. In that line-up, superstar Kevin Durant missed his last three games because of a hamstring injury. Despite that, superstar singer and best buddy of Devin Booker, Drake, put his $60,000 on Stake ahead of the Suns’ clash against the Miami Heat.

The Suns stand in the 9th seed of the Western Conference with an 18-16 record ahead of the Miami Heat. Apart from that, the Valley side has a 5-5 record on their last 10 outings. Despite the implications involved in the game, the star singer decided to pump his money into the Friday night clash.

Drake always had the tag of ‘curse’ whenever he bet on a sports team, but he proved it wrong on the last occasion. Before placing his bet on the Friday night game, he won big in the game between the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers.

He placed the bet on Pacers with 3.70 odds and the team carried their momentum and registered a four-game winning streak. Drake pumped in $60,349 and cashed in big with the bet. While the exact payout is not clear, the estimated payout was $223,292, as shared by the artist himself on his Instagram story.

Similarly, Drake took to his IG story today and shared the screenshot of his betting details for two Friday night games. He put his money on the Memphis Grizzlies for the game against the Los Angeles Lakers and on the Suns with an estimated payout of $250,000.

Interestingly, Drake is already halfway through his bet successfully, as the Suns took home a comfortable 113-97 win. Now, he would be banking on the Grizzlies’ visit to the Crypto.com arena.

Will Drake cash in with his recent bet?

The Grizzlies have had a disappointing run in this season until their franchise spearhead Ja Morant returned from his suspension. Since then, the Grizzlies have been lethal. They took on the Lakers on the Friday night clash, paving the way for an evenly poised game.

The Lakers have an early blow up, dropping 38 points in the first quarter, leaving the Grizzlies trail by 9 points. However, in the next two quarters, the Memphis side leveled it up, making it a neck-to-neck game.

The Grizzlies pulled the right strings at the end and finished the game on top with a 127-113 record.
