Coldplay is feeling for the Swifties in Germany!

While performing in concert in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Saturday, July 20, Coldplay’s Chris Martin dedicated the band’s 2016 song “Everglow” to Taylor Swift after her recent departure from the nearby city of Gelsenkirchen following her Eras Tour shows there.

In a video posted on TikTok of the wholesome moment, Martin, 47, sat onstage by a piano at the Merkur Spiel-Arena, as he said, “Now this is for Taylor Swift because she left town,” before cheers erupted from the concertgoers.

“This is for all of you who feel sad today because Taylor had to go to the next city,” he continued. “So we sing this love song, this heartbreak song, and send it to Taylor wherever she is today.” Martin then went ahead and played the track.

In an Instagram post on July 20, Swift thanked her fans following her first three shows in Germany for their enthusiasm and support.

“Those 3 Gelsenkirchen crowds were AMAZING, and so thoughtful???” She wrote in her caption. “There were signs and paper hearts, the ‘Betty’ wave, and tons of DIY ‘willow’ orbs made out of balloons + phone flashlights. Thank you!!!”

“… Now that we’ve officially kicked off our shows in Germany, I can’t wait to see you all in Hamburg next!” Swift added.

She then shared her gratitude to all those who have “supported” The Tortured Poets Department in the wake of it’s release in April.

“I am completely blown away by what you’ve done – [the album] stayed at #1 for the first 12 weeks of its release and that’s never happened to an album of mine before, not even close!!,” Swift said in her message, adding, “You’re just the greatest.”

“Anyway, now that we’ve officially kicked off our shows in Germany, I can’t wait to see you all in Hamburg next!” Swift concluded her post.
