New unseen footage emerges of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s ten-word message to Conor McGregor seconds after choking him out in UFC grudge fight

Khabib Nurmagomedov taunted Conor McGregor after choking him out in their 2018 grudge match.

Nurmagomedov and McGregor settled the biggest rivalry in UFC history in 2018, in the highest-selling showdown in the MMA promotion’s history.

The Irishman was famously choked out by his bitter foe in the fourth round of their encounter at UFC 229, before a mass brawl broke out after the stoppage.

New footage has been released without commentary of the key points in the heated showdown, which show the pair regularly trading verbal barbs during the brutal exchanges.

And now in an unseen moment, it has been revealed Nurmagomedov called McGregor a “b***h” during the final moments before the referee stepped in.

He shouted: “B***h. I f****d you up! I f****d you up b***h!”

McGregor famously sat helpless on the canvas after tapping out and seeing his world collapse before his eyes.

The rivalry was by no means settled just minutes after the submission, with Nurmagomedov in no way respectful to his rival.

His celebrations were wild, but things took a turn for the worse as a chaotic brawl broke out following their exchange of words.

Nurmagomedov initiated the brawl ascending the cage and jumping on McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis which sparked a mass physical altercation.

His rival rose to his feet after being left dejected and had to be restrained after joining in the conflict.

McGregor then traded blows with both Abubakar Nurmagomedov — Nurmagomedov’s cousin and a lightweight fighter in the PFL — Zubaira Tukhugov, as they entered the octagon.

Both were punished retrospectively for the action, with ‘The Eagle receiving a $500,000 fine with $50,000 for McGregor.

There was no handshake and an immediate rematch was clamoured for by fans all over the world.

But Nurmagomedov retired from the UFC in 2020 after back-to-back title defences against Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.

McGregor was left unable to get his redemption, despite UFC president Dana White trying desperately to set up a sequel.

He has since had poor fortunes in the cage, having won just once since that date in a comeback win over Donald Cerrone.

The superstar lost twice to Dustin Poirier breaking his leg in their second meeting in 2021.

And he has yet to return since that date, as his comeback clash with Michael Chandler was postponed this year and has yet to be rescheduled.
