Jennifer Lawrence will later this summer film a film in Alberta

Later this summer, filming for a new film starring Jennifer Lawrence will take place in Alberta.

The film, titled Die, My Love, will be produced from August 12 to October 8, according to the Directors Guild of Canada(opens in a new tab).

According to IMDB(opens in a new tab), Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games, American Hustle) will play the lead role in this film, which centers on a mother who fights psychosis while attempting to keep her sanity while residing in a secluded and forgotten rural location.

Lynne Ramsay, who directed the 2011 drama We Need to Talk About Kevin starring Tilda Swinton, John C. Reilly, and Ezra Miller, is directing the film.

It’s also written, in part, by Ramsay, in addition to Ariana Harwicz and Enda Walsh.

IMDB says the Die, My Love will be filmed in Calgary, and describes it as a comedy, drama, horror and thriller.

It’s one of seven upcoming projects Lawrence’s name is tied to on IMDB.

According to the Directors Guild Of Canada, Die, My Love, a new Horror Dramedy starring Jennifer Lawrence, will be the next big flick to roll into Alberta.

Based on the Ariana Harwicz novel of the same name, the upcoming movie will follow a widowed mother struggling to “maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis.”

The book, originally written in Spanish, was a Man Booker International Prize Finalist in 2018 and has now been adapted for the big screen.
