Undoubtedly, one of Dwayne Johnson’s (also known as The Rock) greatest movies is San Andreas. Moreover, it’s one of his highest-grossing solo projects. The studio undoubtedly discussed the possibility of a sequel. I was motivated to create another dream trailer for San Andreas 2 after seeing The Rock’s sequence in front of an earthquake in Baller. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to apply artificial intelligence (AI) for the first time on this video series, since it would contribute to the trailer’s realism. I start by putting Rock’s character Ray in a conversation with a man (whom I created to be his employer): “Mr. Ray, tell me about your experience with the magnitude 9 earthquake that occurred in California, the biggest in recorded history?” Then, in a fitting response to the events from the movie, Ray replies, “I took a loss just like everybody else” (clip from Ballers).

Then I showed our main characters relieving the e4rthquake by showing footage from San Andreas film as a flashback. I teased the audience that another e4rthquake is coming to wrap act 1. For act 2 right away I show the characters in action, using clip from San Andreas deleted scene, we get to see Ray and his wife in the car trying to leave California. For the highlight of act 2 I made Dr. Lawrence introduce the idea “The biggest e4rthquake the world has ever seen”. Then I made Ray say “I’m not taking any chances, I’m getting my family out of California before its too late”

. Act 3 I showed John Cena helping Ray. I added him because my dream is to have a movie of John Cena and The Rock together. Making Cena as part of Rock’s rescue team would be natural way to include him. Show flashback for The Rock action scenes (looking in action). For the epic final line I made Ray say “Whatever it takes, we will get out of California”.
