Tom Hanks’ Apollo 13 character, Astronaut Jim Lovell, lists his $3.5 million Texas lake house for sale: Houston, we have a property!

Retired NASA astronaut Captain Jim Lovell, portrayed by Tom Hanks in the Hollywood classic Apollo 13, has listed his gorgeous lake house for $3,500,000.

In 1970 Jim Lovell led a failed moon landing aboard Apollo 13, which became the basis of the 1995 movie of the same name.

His Texas retreat, designed and built for the spaceman and his wife Marilyn, sits on the shores of Lake Lyndon B Johnson, in Horseshoe Bay, USA.

The property has amazing views over Lake Lyndon B Johnson, which was named after the former US President

The stunning property features four bedrooms, six bathrooms and for a lakeside property, it also has its own bath house

According to Curbed.com the property has five stained-glass windows that tells the story of Captain James Lovell famous mission.

It also has four bedrooms, six bathroom and features an additional boat house.

On the upper level is a games room and decking which overlooks the lake.
