Beyoncé showcases facial versatility in electrifying Super Bowl performance.

She stunned fans with her incredible vocal performance and polished dance moves during the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday night.

But while the majority of viewers were blown away by Beyoncé’s musical talents, others were somewhat distracted by the singer’s array of bizarre facial expressions.

The 31-year-old singer displayed an incredible skill for maneuvering her face into various looks – from angry and gladiatorial to 𝑠e𝑥y and cheeky.

Even when Queen Bey was joined on stage by her former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, she ensured she continued to captivate her audience by matching her facial looks to her bumping and grinding.

And judging by the reviews, Beyoncé managed to both wow her fans and silence her critics with the halftime performance.

The Hollywood Reporter’s David Rooney said of the show: ‘In addition to her own backup dancers, Beyonce got terpsichorean support from the Saintsations, the 32-girl cheerleader troupe of host-city New Orleans team the Saints.

‘With even her horn section onstage made up of female musicians, Beyonce continued in the vein of Madonna last year, steering the Super Bowl away from dad rock to embrace girl power.’

Greg Kot of the Chicago Tribune agreed, saying: ‘It was the high-heeled Beyonce stomping her imprint on libidos everywhere: the silhouetted opening countoff into Crazy in Love, topped with a firecracker-spewing guitar solo; the Jamaican dancehall flavor of Baby Boy; the closing, signature ballad Halo.

‘On the latter, the close-up TV images suggested that the singer was indeed belting it out, at least semi-“live.” But by then the verdict was already in: Beyonce affirmed that she’s the reigning all-purpose multimedia celebrity of our era, and she knows how to entertain.’

LA Times writer Randall Roberts referred to Beyoncé’s recent lip-synching scandal at President Obama’s inauguration by saying: ‘Beyoncé has represented herself as an authentic, if larger than life, modern woman. A woman bounding with self-respect. A wife who betters her husband, and vice versa. A mother whose first born is a nearly 13-month-old daughter named Blue Ivy.

‘When artifice shattered the illusion, people noticed. She took center stage in New Orleans to shut everybody up. She did — at least those who doubted her skills as a live singer and a performer.’

And Jerry Shriver of USA Today conceded: ‘The force of nature that is Beyonce answered any and all questions about her commitment to authenticity with a dynamic Super Bowl XLVII halftime performance that apparently sucked all of the power out of the the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.’
