Kim Kardashian showed off her new ice blonde look on her hairdresser Chris Appleton’s Instagram this week.
Swathed in a sumptuous black fur coat, the 43-year-old reality star turned this way and that to flaunt the hairdo on camera.
She swept her silken locks back into a bun, which she complemented with an elaborate pair of drop earrings and flattering makeup.
‘Ice kimmy,’ wrote Chris in the caption of his Instagram album, explaining: ‘We wanted to keep a short root & the blonde cool & creamy. I colored it in a couple of sessions to keep the integrity of the hair nice and juicy.’
Her latest transformation comes nearly two years after Kim went blonde for her Marilyn Monroe look at the Met Gala – and worried that she had damaged her hair so badly that it would begin to fall out.

Kim hit the headlines around the world for attending the Americana-themed 2022 Met Gala in Marilyn Monroe’s ‘Happy Birthday Mr. President’ dress.
She spent 10 hours bleaching her hair in preparation for the event, resulting in the slicked-black platinum do she sported on the red carpet at ‘fashion’s night out.’
Kylie Jenner later posted a YouTube video about her own preparations for the Met Ball – including a visit she paid to Kim while the latter was having her hair done.
She praised Kim for the ‘bold’ decision to bleach her hair, prompting Kim’s reply: ‘Oh, I’ve been doing this for 10 hours already. I’ll risk getting my hair to fall out.’
Kim famously embarked on a grueling weight loss regimen in order to fit into the Marilyn Monroe dress, successfully shedding 16lbs in just three weeks.
Marilyn herself had to be sewn into the gold frock, which she wore while seductively singing Happy Birthday To You to John F. Kennedy three months before her death.
When she borrowed the dress from Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!, Kim discovered to her horror that she could not fit her world-famous curves into it.
‘When it didn’t fit me I wanted to cry because it can’t be altered at all,’ she told Vogue around the time of the Met Gala in 2022.

‘I looked at them, and I said, give me three weeks, and I had to lose 16lbs down [to] today to be able to fit this. It was such a challenge, it was like a role. I was determined to fit into it. I don’t think they believed I was going to do it, but I did it.’
In order to achieve her goal she ‘would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein. I didn’t starve myself, but I was so strict.’
Kim has also denied allegations that she had damaged the Marilyn dress, noting that Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! took her side on the issue.
‘Kim Kardashian wearing the “Happy Birthday” dress has been hotly contested, but the fact remains that she did not, in any way, damage the garment in the short amount of time it was worn at the Met Gala,’ Ripley’s said.
The accusations rested largely on pictures of the affected dress that had surfaced online – but Ripley’s defended Kim by citing a 2017 report that had already noted ‘a number of the seams are pulled and worn.’
Kim did struggle to wriggle into the dress and was ultimately unable to zip it up all the way, so she covered the pertinent area with a white fur stole.
