Margot Robbie leaves Queensland with husband Tom Ackerley after brief visit, looking downcast.

Margot Robbie didn’t look happy to be leaving her family and friends as she jetted out of Brisbane Airport on Sunday afternoon.

The Barbie star, 33, made a fleeting visit to the Gold Coast this week alongside her husband Tom Ackerley to be with her nearest and dearest.

Margot, who makes no secret of her love of Australia, could barely crack a smile as she pulled her luggage out of a black Mercedes van.

The blonde bombshell held a large pillow as she made her way though the terminal alongside Tom, whose hand she held.

Margot covered her famous figure in a comfortable all-black ensemble, including a skimpy top, flowing pants, and sandals.

At times, she went incognito in a black Chanel bucket hat and surgical face mask.

Husband Tom looked hunky in a white jumper, black pants and a pair of white New Balance runners for the occasion.

Just a day earlier, Margot was seen beaming alongside a group of friends at Mr Percival’s in Brisbane.

Despite being based in Los Angeles, Margot makes no secret of her love of returning to Australia

‘It’s nice to be home and see the reaction,’ she told Nine’s Today Show in January. ‘You know, you have the premiere and people scream out your name.’

‘I just love hearing my name with an Aussie accent too because in America everyone hits the R. They got ‘Marr-go’ not ‘Ma-go’.’ she added

The visit to Australia comes after Margot landed herself in hot water with her Halloween costume. Margot ignored protocol and dressed as V from the cult film V For Vendetta
