Well this is an unexpected surprise: Ariana Grande has told her fans that she’s already started work on a new album and it’s all going really well. So well that we might be getting it sooner than we all thought.

The American popstar only released her third album Dangerous Woman back in May, but she’s been busy in the studio recording brand new material.

“Oh yeah, and I’m almost done with an album,” Ariana casually said on her Snapchat. “I didn’t mean to make an album, and I don’t know if it’s done at all, but I just have a bunch of songs that I really like. I’ve just been working and creating and inspired.”

Obviously fans on Twitter went crazy over the news, and instantly bombarded her with a million questions.

“I didn’t mean to make you too excited. I didn’t mean to make you shit your pants,” Ariana had to add after seeing the instant reaction.

But before we get a full new album from Ariana, the star recently put out new song ‘Faith’ with Motown legend Stevie Wonder.

The duo have filmed a brand new music video for the track, which has been recorded for upcoming animated film Sing.

Ariana also teamed up with Justin Timberlake for a new duet titled ‘They Don’t Know’, which was recorded for the Trolls soundtrack back in September.

Ariana Grande’s next album will serve as the follow-up to Dangerous Woman, which topped the UK chart earlier this year and peaked at No.2 in the US.

It has spawned the hit singles ‘Dangerous Woman’, ‘Into You’ and ‘Side to Side’ with Nicki Minaj.
