Jennifer Lawrence sported a sophisticated version of the groutfit (gray outfit) in Paris.

When you hear the word groutfit (fashion’s term for an all-gray outfit: gray + outfit, get it?), a tone-on-tone sweatsuit or an actual two-piece suit likely come to mind. And if we’re being honest, the whole look can be kind of a snooze. However, Jennifer Lawrence may have just cracked the code and livened up the trend with her latest ensemble.

On Thursday night, the actress attended the LVMH Prize cocktail party during Paris Fashion Week while dressed in an elevated take on the groutfit. Mixing several different shades together for interest, she wore a sheer steel-colored top with fluttery sleeves and a swooping neckline tucked into an elegant charcoal gray maxi skirt that was cinched at the waist with a patent-leather pewter belt. J.Law broke up the monochromatic look with black accessories — including pointed-toe pumps and a wristwatch — as well as a pair of silver hoops.

She pulled her blonde hair back into a finger-combed bun, and finished off her glam with a glossy lip and a glowing complexion.

This actually isn’t the first all-gray look J.Law added a little spice to this week. Just a few days earlier, the actress made an appearance at the Dior fall-winter 2024 fashion show, and for the occasion, she opted for a plunging three-piece suit in a graphite hue. Going braless underneath a low-cut vest, Lawrence layered a roomy suit jacket on top and finished things off with a pair of cropped ankle-pants and sheer stockings below. Gray is evidently having a moment.
