Jennifer Lawrence opts for a daring look, from shiny gold to black and backless, at the Hunger Games Paris premiere.

When you know you’re going to be heading out on the road to promote a new movie it’s important to make sure you’ve got a superlative selection of red carpet outfits in your suitcase.

So far, Jennifer Lawrence, 21, has proved her mettle with an eye-catching collection of premiere dresses for new movie The Hunger Games.

At the opening of the film in Paris she impressed yet again in a slinky black number that had very little going on at the back.

Golden wonder: The 21-year-old actress wore the same colour in both London and Los Angeles

Jennifer looked great in the chic number, perfect for an appearance in fashion capital Paris.

As she made her way down the red carpet she stopped to pose for photographers – from the front her dress appeared rather understated with a gold zip above her left hip.

However, when she turned around onlookers realised that the zip was connected with the entire rear of the dress, and it had been purposely left open for effect.

What a contrast: Elizabeth Banks went for a sparkling fuchsia number in Paris and a sleek yellow dress in London

Jennifer accessorised the dress with a pair of gold heels, continuing her penchant for the colour, having worn two different gold dresses at the previous two premieres of The Hunger Games in London and Los Angeles.

On Monday, at the world premiere, she wore Prabal Gurung with the sides cutout.

Yesterday at the European premiere in London she wore another shiny number with a black belt from Ralph Lauren.

Aiming high: Jennifer in The Hunger Games

Co-star Elizabeth Banks, 38, went for the exact opposite to Jennifer’s sombre black number in a glimmering fuchsia number.

At the London premiere she oozed style in a slinky yellow dress, however this glittery effort did not have the same effect.

She teamed the dress with a pair of black patent heels.

The ladies were joined by Liam Hemsworth, boyfriend of Mily Cyrus, and Josh Hutcherson who also star in the film.
