Despite Vin Diesel’s previous promise, Fast and Furious 11 can’t bring the franchise back to its street racing roots because of Fast X. The Fast and Furious franchise began with small-scale movies about simple heists and street racing, with each more installment bringing grander and increasingly unbelievable car stunts to the table. Despite earning a whopping $7.3 billion over the years, Fast and Furious is apparently ending with Fast 11. Although updates for Fast and Furious 11 are few and far between, with the production’s status remaining somewhat elusive, we know that the film will follow on from the last Fast and Furious. However, Fast X ended in a rather action-packed cliffhanger; Tej, Han, and Ramsey’s plane got shot down, Aimes was revealed to be a double agent, and Dom and Little B were caught up in a dam explosion. Therefore, it is hard to believe Vin Diesel’s hopes of a street-level final movie after Fast X’s explosive cliffhanger.
