Beverly Hills Home Al Pacino Rented From Jackie Collins Lists for Nearly $16 Million

A Beverly Hills home that was owned by British romance novelist Jackie Collins and rented for years by Al Pacino is back on the market for $15.95 million.

Collins bought the Beverly Drive home, along with its neighboring property, in 1988, according to listing agent Bobby Syed of Coldwell Banker Realty.

“I was told that Jackie’s family used to live [at this address], and then at some point in time, Al Pacino met with her to rent the property,” he said.

Pacino rented the Beverly Hills home for nearly 20 years.

That was some 20 years ago, and Pacino, 84, continued to rent the house through Collins’s death in 2015 and once it found a new buyer in 2016, Syed said. He moved out within the past few months.

The seller is real estate investor Ben Nehmadi and his wife, Bita Nehmadi, according to The Wall Street Journal. They bought the property using an LLC for $9 million in 2016, records on PropertyShark show. At the same time, they bought the much larger neighboring home for $15.2 million, and it’s now also for sale with a $59.5 million price tag.

The Nehmadis couldn’t be reached for comment.

Located in the Beverly Hills Flats, the 5,200-square-foot home sits on a 0.69-acre lot that is encompassed by lush trees and hedges.

“Although in the Flats, properties are right next to each other…there is still total privacy because of the mature landscaping,” Syed said.

Built in 1922, the home has been renovated over the years, most notably in 1938 by award-winning architect Douglas Honnold, who worked with John Lautner on the Beverly Hills Athletic Club in 1945.

Though some of the six-bedroom, six-bathroom home has been updated with a more modern design, one space that is still full of period charm is the wood-paneled great room. Divided into two spaces, there is a family room with a fireplace, a pool table and wood-paneled coffered ceilings, and in the room connected to it is a full bar and space for a table—be it for dining or for poker.

Outside, there’s a pool, a hot tub and a cabana area, as well as a barbecue area with a fireplace. The property also comes with a full-size tennis court, which Syed said can only be found on a “handful” of properties in the Flats.

If someone were more interested in the land than the house itself, Syed said it would be allowed by the city of Beverly Hills, adding that the listing price is almost entirely for the value of the land.

Beverly Drive is one of the four streets “at the heart of Beverly Hills,” he said. “These streets are very in demand because of the location. You can walk two blocks south to Rodeo Drive, and one and a half blocks north is where the Beverly Hills Hotel is.”

A representative for Pacino didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
