Margot Robbie’s Barbie-inspired looks showcased in new book by stylist Andrew Mukamal, representing countless hours of work.

Margot Robbie‘s iconic Barbie inspired looks will be highlighted in a new book.

The 33-year-old Australian star’s stylist Andrew Mukamal has put together a book titled Barbie: The World Tour which focuses on all the work the duo did to recreate iconic looks from the doll and the fashion world as a whole.

Margot – who could soon be the richest actress in Hollywood – is featured on the cover as she poses similarly to what the doll looks like in the packaging with her accessories laying right next to her.

The look was inspired by a classic Chanel runway look which Claudia Schiffer rocked in the 1995 but was never released to the public.

Of the project, the talented fashion stylist and brand consultant Andrew commented in a press release: ‘This book is the culmination of tens of thousands of hours of work by some of the most talented and creative visionaries and designers on Earth.’

Margot has made quite a habit of having iconic Barbie looks recreated for the dozens of events she has attended including earlier this month when she attended the Golden Globes as she recreated the 1977 SuperStar Barbie doll

The illustrated book aims to capture all the glitz and glamour surrounding Margot channeling the most famous doll in the world.

The press release read: ‘For the press tour following the record-breaking release of Greta Gerwig’s award-winning, acclaimed Barbie movie, producer and star Margot Robbie and her stylist Andrew Mukamal immersed themselves in some of Barbie’s most iconic outfits and curated vintage pieces, then approached designers, from Giorgio Armani to Donatella Versace, to create looks inspired by the doll-size originals.

Though Margot has already rocked several Barbie inspired looks at red carpets, press events, awards shows, and other galas, the book promises fans that there are some looks which have still yet to be seen.

It reads: ‘Many of these looks were not seen as the official Barbie press tour was cut short—so Margot and Andrew worked with renowned fashion photographer Craig McDean to shoot her in the looks exactly as they were curated: Schiaparelli in Los AngelesVivienne Westwood in London, vintage Chanel with matching Streamline luggage at the airport, and beyond.’

The book features images from renowned fashion photographer Craig McDean and also includes a collage from art director Fabien Baron.

Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer of Mattel Lisa McKnight commented on the project saying: ‘Barbie: The World Tour is the ultimate realization of Barbiecore, with iconic looks inspired by Barbie’s 65-years of fashion history, now brought to life by Margot and Andrew with best-in-class designers.

‘It’s been inspiring to see the world follow the designs curated by Margot and Andrew in celebration of the movie, Barbie. Rich with unexpected playfulness, historic nods, and self-expression, these looks represent an exciting new take on Barbie style.’
