With the release of the most recent installment in the series, the Transformers film franchise has been a mainstay in theaters since 2007. This is the animated film Transformers One, which shows off Optimus Prime and Megatron’s early years. Even though this is the primary film for the robots in disguise, many fans seem to believe that there is another project in the works.

Transformers 8: Rise of the Titans seems to suggest that a sequel involving some of the biggest Transformers in the franchise is being made. In reality, the possibility of Transformers 8 being a real project is the furthest thing from the truth, especially given the current state of the franchise.
