Dave Feldman says the stars will be out for BKFC Knucklemania 5.
The BKFC boss is a Philadelphia native, so naturally, he’s extremely excited about returning to his home city with a stacked night of fights at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday.
Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez and MMA veteran Jeremy Stephens will headline the card, which will also feature Ben Rothwell and Bec Rawlings.
It promises to be a big night, with Dave Feldman excited about the prospect of his company breaking an arena attendance record set by the UFC.
Rocky ringside at BKFC?
Feldman expects many famous faces to be in the crowd at one of his biggest BKFC events to date.
Of course, Conor McGregor will be there. The former dual-weight champion is a part-owner of BKFC and takes every chance he gets to talk up the fledgling fight promotion.
‘Notorious’ may be joined in the audience by one of acting biggest legends.
Sylvester Stallone is globally known for his ‘Rocky’ films, which see him play a journeyman boxer thrust into the spotlight when he is randomly selected to fight for the heavyweight world championship.
48 years after he first laced us the gloves on the silver screen, Stallone may watch fighters take them off at Feldman’s latest bare-knuckle show after being disappointed with a recent boxing bout between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
“I’m gonna have some feels that night,” the BKFC president told MMA Knockout
“It’s a phenomenal feeling for us. I think just being in Philly and having all the people that we know and supported us here to watch this epic event, it makes it extra special.”
“Conor McGregor will be here. A lot of the Philadelphia professional sports players are gonna be here. It’s gonna be very well attended with a star-studded audience. It’s gonna be pillar to post in there. I can’t wait.”
“Don’t rule out that Sylvester Stallone could possibly be there. Don’t rule that out. It’s a possibility. I’m not saying it’s happening, but we’re in talks. It’s a possibility.”
Dave Feldman eyes Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather 2
Dave Feldman doesn’t just want fight legends in his audience, he wants them to compete for his promotion.
Last year, the 54-year-old expressed his desire to see Conor McGregor rematch Floyd Mayweather under bare-knuckle rules after their 2017 meeting in the boxing ring.
Feldman said during an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow: “I’d love to see Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor in bare-knuckle because I think it’s a whole different fight, with the clinching that you can do and getting hit with the knuckles
“We just think it’s a different world. So, it is a different sport-it’s different types of pain.
“It’s not necessarily that you’re getting hit and you’re getting flashes and concussed, but you get hit on the cheekbone and you’re like, ‘Oh, man, that hurt’.
“So, it really just depends on who is able to withstand that kind of stuff.”
