Conor McGregor set to reunite with Dana White at major event after UFC 311

Conor McGregor could come face-to-face with his UFC boss in the next few days.

‘Notorious’ hasn’t been on great terms with Dana White during his spell on the sidelines.

The former dual-weight UFC champion broke his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Unfortunately, his return to the Octagon has been partially delayed by behind-the-scenes issues with MMA’s most powerful man.

Despite that, they will reunite to celebrate the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States in Washington DC on Monday.

Conor McGregor and Dana White fly to US capital

On Saturday, McGregor was airborne for the vast majority of White’s first pay-per-view show of 2025.

The Irishman’s long-time coach, John Kavanagh, shared a picture of the two men standing in front of a private plane and explained where they were headed on his 48th birthday.

“Will be a memorable birthday! Heading to the inauguration with the champchamp,” Kavanagh captioned his Instagram post. “Thanks for the invite @thenotoriousmma we’ve had some memorable Jan18ths!”

A few hours later, McGregor tweeted: “Just landed in Washington DC to witness @realDonaldTrump become Double Champ! #Exceptional#ChampChamp”

White had a private jet waiting during his post-fight press conference at UFC 311.

The 55-year-old rushed through his media scrum before hopping on a flight to the capital.

Nelk Boy Kyle Forgeard confirmed their safe arrival with an Instagram post that White shared to his story.

It read: “Hitch hiked with uncle @danawhite from LA… big weekend let’s go.”

What’s next for Conor McGregor?

In recent weeks, rumors about McGregor taking boxing matches with Logan Paul and KSI have been gathering pace online.

White recently issued a public response to ‘Mystic Mac’ being courted by the world of boxing once again after making $100million to face Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

“No,” the MMA mogul replied when asked if McGregor is going to fight Paul during an appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast.

“No, no, no,” White added when the prospect of McGregor vs KSI was brought up.

“Hopefully, Conor McGregor returns in the fall of this year.”

It appears McGregor and White will get the chance to discuss all the details in the coming days.
