Royal Aide’s Brutal Two-Word Remark After Meghan Markle Encounter

Meghan Markle was described as “basically unhinged” by a Kensington Palace courtier who claimed most of the other staff “thought she was a complete narcissist and sociopath” when she first joined the Royal Family, according to a book.

The Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥 may have left the Firm four years ago, however, there have been several reports and claims made by royal sources and Palace staff over her “bullying” behaviour since then.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have repeatedly and vehemently denied the bullying claims.

One of these claims is found in Robert Lacey’s book Battle of the Brothers – released in 2020 – which alleged that a Palace courtier said while Meghan “portrayed herself as the victim, she was the bully”.

According to Mr Lacey, the royal aide said: “Meghan portrayed herself as the victim, but she was the bully. People felt run over by her.

“They thought she was a complete narcissist and sociopath — basically unhinged.”

The allegations first emerged in March 2021, just days before Harry and Meghan’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, after details of a bullying complaint were leaked to The Times.

The outlet revealed an email from October 2018 sent by Jason Knauf, at the time the press secretary to both the now-Waleses and the Sus𝑠e𝑥es, who raised concerns about what has been allegedly happening in the household.

The email, addressed to Simon Case, who at the time was Prince William’s private secretary, reportedly read: “I am very concerned that the Duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year.”

However, the Sus𝑠e𝑥es have vehemently denied the claims, with their spokesperson saying they were victims of a “calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation.”

They said in a statement: “We are disappointed to see this defamatory portrayal of The Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥 given credibility by a media outlet.

“It’s no coincidence that distorted several-year-old accusations aimed at undermining the Duchess are being briefed to the British media shortly before she and the Duke are due to speak openly and honestly about their experience of recent years.”
