Randy Orton recently announced that he renewed his contract with WWE for the next five years. “The Viper” will stay at home for a long time in which he could allow himself to win more World Titles and create great rivalries.
Randy Orton is currently preparing to face Gunther at WWE Bash In Berlin 2024 , a match in which he will have the opportunity to win the World Heavyweight Championship in order to increase his record of World Titles (14). Although for most, the record of world reigns (16) held by Ric Flair & John Cena is one that must be broken, The Viper takes the situation in stride.
In a recent exclusive interview with MARCA ‘s Vicente Beltrán , the 44-year-old superstar shared that he recently renewed his contract with WWE, meaning he would remain at home for at least the next five years . This was what Randy Orton said when he was approached about the idea of choosing Gunther as his next opponent, when it seemed like he was actually going after the WWE Title held by his pupil, Cody Rhodes:
«I know you’re alluding to Cody and his title and maybe I’d like to do it later, but I don’t think I should rush it. I’m going to keep doing this for a long time. I just signed a five-year contract extension and I don’t have to rush it . I have all the time in the world as far as I’m concerned. I feel great. I feel healthy.»
Since Cody Rhodes won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL, Randy Orton has set his sights on “The American Nightmare’s” gold on repeated occasions , causing a stir among the WWE Universe who wants to see them face each other for all the history they have written. However, “The Legend Killer” will remain creating a feud with Gunther, who reached the top after defeating Damian Priest at WWE SummerSlam 2024 .
With the new contract signed with WWE, “The Viper” would be allowed to be active in the company for almost 30 years, this if he manages to maintain his physical condition without it representing a risk to his health. Randy Orton has one of the best careers in all of history, he has won every title he has opted for and now, with the status of a living legend practically, he still has many stories to tell.
