An Inside Tour of Beyonce and JAY-Z’s Mind-Blowing New Summer Home.

Now that Beyoncé Knowles and JAY-Z have newborn twins in addition to their 5-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, they’re apparently craving a change of scenery. And that explains why they just moved into a sprawling $400,000-per-month oceanfront mansion in Malibu, CA.

According to the Daily Mail, they plan to stay there until August. Previously, they had been renting a $55 million estate nearly 25 miles inland, right next door to the Playboy mansion.

As for why they decided to pick up and move, well, the mystery vanishes once you see pictures of their new place. The 16,000-square-foot, 10-bedroom, 14-bathroom compound, called La Villa Contenta, is located on approximately 6.5 acres of landscaped gardens, situated on a cliff with views of the ocean. In addition to the main house, the property also features a comfortable guest house that will no doubt be used by Knowles’ mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, who was seen pulling up to the home on Sunday.\Perched on a cliff in Malibu, CA, is La Villa Contenta, Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s home for the summer.

You really couldn’t dream up a more perfect pad for pop’s reigning king and queen to spend their first summer with the twins, whose names and gender have yet to be confirmed (although several reports are speculating they’re a boy and a girl).

According to the website advertising the rental, the grounds boast countless secret gardens with hundreds of “priceless specimen trees and rare plantings,” including a rose garden with over 1,000 bushes. The private greenhouse (one of the largest in California) contains a desert garden full of rare cacti.

Garden roses are abundant on the property’s 6 acres.

The first thing that greets guests in the main house is the foyer with its hand-laid mosaic floor made from reclaimed antique marble.

The living room comes fully furnished (as does the rest of the house) with a mix of antique and contemporary furniture. That’s good news for the couple, who can spend more time with their twins rather than thinking about furnishing their temporary seaside palace.

Once the family members get settled in, they’ll have plenty of room to entertain in a dining room that comfortably seats 24. Notable design details include the ceiling handcarved from French limestone and twin 18th-century chandeliers adorned with amethysts and crystals, the only source of light in the room besides the fireplace.

And check out the pool pavilion, the most awe-inspiring amenity of all. While you’re picking your jaw off the floor, you’ll be interested to know that the “natatorium” (a fancy word for a building containing a swimming pool) is built of carved marble, and features a lap pool tiled with Murano glass, and two changing rooms paneled in rare onyx with lounge areas and large steam showers. Plus, the walls and ceiling are embellished with seashells. Sweet!

Other amenities you’d expect to see in a mansion this lavish include a tennis court (with viewing deck), infinity pool (yes, there’s a second pool outdoors), billiard room, wine cellar, gym, and media room with a 14-foot screen.

All in all, we certainly hope that a mansion this magnificent will help mom and pop relax as they adjust to life with three kids. How could it not?Think a three-car garage is luxurious? Try a six-car garage.
